Another windy day with a tricky windward mark.
It was a good day! The wind came up, the sun came out and there were some close races.
We're going to have to remember to do a sweep of the dock before we start in order to eliminate tripping hazards.
8 boats to start today, only 4 left able to race by the end of the day. Sunny day, tons of wind, lots of equipment failures, and several rescues. So much to learn about sailing in heavy wind.
Please note an OOD stands for an Average All as the Captain was performing PRO duties.
A group of 8 hardy sailors were in attendance for the first official day of this year. We had shifty winds and steady rain - but kept at it and got in 10 races. It was very entertaining. There were lots of lead changes and merry mix ups at the windward mark.
