Spring Series Results

Apologies for the need to revise results, but we discovered a flaw in the way Sailwave scored the series. The default was to score the entire series as if it was one event, and therefore it calculated discard scores as if there were 22 boats in every race. It also scored DNS, DNF and DNC as # of competitors (22) +1. The correct discard score is +1 for DNF, +2 for DNS and +3 for DNC based on # of competitors in that race. Fortunately, Brian Harrison was able to coach your fleet captain on how to configure Sailwave correctly, so it calculates discard scores based on the number of boats in that race, not the entire season. This had the effect of reducing total scores in many cases, but it had little effect on net scores, because of our high (50%) discard policy for this series.
