Soling National Notice of Race
Steveston RC Sailing Club is proud to host the 2 day Soling National Championship starting on Saturday May 31 at 10:00 AM with check-in, boat measurement, tuning and practice. Official racing will start Saturday, May 31 with a skippers meeting at 10:30 AM PST followed by racing at 11:00. Sunday, June 1 racing will start at 10:30 AM PST.
All races and check-in will be held at Imperial Landing in Steveston, BC ( map below).
Registration
Enteries will be limited to 24 boats. Registration and Entry payment of $30.00 (cdn) must be made by May 15, 2025. Notice of Race. at the bottom of this page. Payment can be made by E-Transfer to patrick.hepburn@gmail.com or by cheque mailed to Patrick Hepburn 6 Parkwood Place, Port Moody B.C. V3H 4K6. Any late registrations after May 15 or at check-in on May 31 will be charged a late entry fee of $35.00
Lunch will be provided on both days included with your entry fee. Additional lunch tickets for those accompanying entrants will be $10.00. There may be a No Host Dinner which is not part of the event arranged on Saturday evening

NOTICE OF RACE
Steveston RC Sailing Club
2025 Soling 1 Meter National Championship May 31st/June 1st, 2025
1. Organizing Authority
The Steveston RC Sailing Club invites Soling 1 Meter sailors to the 2025 Soling 1 Meter National Championship to be held at Steveston, British Columbia. This regatta is organized under the authority of the Canadian Radio Yachting Association (CRYA) and conducted by Steveston RC Sailing Club and its duly appointed Race Committee.
2. Rules
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (The RRS) as modified by Appendix E, the Prescriptions of Sail Canada, the Equipment Rules of Sailing, Soling1 Meter Class Rules and HMS Scoring System. 3. Eligibility:
Entrants must be current members of the CRYA, or their National Authority. Yachts must comply with the Soling 1 Meter Class Rules. Proof of membership may accompany entry or be presented at, or by, check-in. Competitors with a disability who require any form of help or special requirements should, prior to entry, get in touch with the club contact to confirm that suitable arrangements can be made. The onus is on the competitor to establish whether the available facilities are suitable and, if necessary, provide a suitable support person
4. Schedule
May 31 st , 2025: Event Check in and measurement/inspection. Practice sailing to follow. The skipper’s meeting will be at 10:30 AM. The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race is 11:00 AM. No races will start after 4:00 PM on that day.
June 1 st , 2025: The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race is 10:30 AM. No races will start after 3:00 PM on that day. There is no maximum number of races, however a minimum of 6 races must be completed to constitute this event.
5. Entry and Fees
Entry fee is $30.00 CAD, and includes lunch on May 31 st and June 1 st , 2025. A no host dinner which is not a part of the event may be arranged on May 31 st .
Entries must be received no later than May 15 th , 2025. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Regatta Chairman. Late Entry fee will be $35.00 CAD. Entries may be capped at 24 boats on a first come basis.
Additional lunch tickets for those accompanying entrants will be $10.00
Sail number conflicts will be resolved based on the date of receipt of paid entries including those accepted after the entry deadline. This overrides Personal Sail Numbers.
